Our Services:
Electrical – 18th edition certified as well as CompEx qualified. Design, Install, inspection, test and maintenance. Such as External lighting, Emergency lighting, Smart Meters, Periodic test and inspections, PAT testing. Fire alarm installs, Hotel maintenance, School maintenance, Hospital maintenance, Reactive, breakdowns and maintenance works.
Plumbing – Covering domestic, industrial and commercial properties. New installs, alterations and reactive works. Pumps, calorifiers and TMV checks. domestic and commercial Legionella- Sampling and testing. Hot water and cold-water systems. Heating sampling .
Heat Pumps – Installation of Heat pumps underfloor and ground source. 1 or 3 yearly maintenance. Mechanical and electrical elements included.
Fire and Security – This includes all maintenance, tests and inspections. New and additional installs in CCTV, intruder, disabled refuge and access control. We will be working in partnership with another company to be able to provide 365/24 assistance.
Renewables – Solar, wave, and wind energy. Install of charging points. Domestic and industrial. LEF have already agreed a heads of terms and in the process of an exclusive MoU with AES solar. For the islands region. This company has been dedicated solar specialists since 1979 and has a large market in the Scottish Highlands and central belts. AES are looking to partner with Shetland and its energy isles status.
Sprinklers – Design, Installation, inspection, test and maintenance. The changes in regulations for commercial rented and industrial dwellings demonstrate there is a need for this in Shetland. Hjaltland for example are putting in over 100 home housing developments in Stanley Hill, all of which require a sprinkler system.
Maintenance – As this is a wide umbrella on this subject we cater for all areas. Domestic, Commercial and industrial. Some areas such as, Emergency lighting, Inspection and testing, Heating, External lighting and power, and plantroom work.
Ventilation – AHUs, ductwork, Industrial and commercial properties. Statutory test and inspection required.
Stair Lifts – Design, Install, inspection and test.
Inspection and Testing – Domestic commercial and industrial. The regulation stated that commercial, rented properties are tested in full every 5 years.
Dry Risers/Rising Fire Mains – dry risers should have a wet test and a visual inspection by a qualified engineer. During the wet test, engineers fill each riser stack with water – this is the pipe that rises through the building with a landing valve on each floor/level. Some testing companies use street fire hydrants to carry out these tests.
TR19 Inspections – The compliance report is complex, including clear statements that indicate how the system has been cleaned in its entirety, a recommendation on cleaning frequency, and even a schematic diagram or as-installed drawing of the system in its entirety.
Fire Extinguishers – annual inspections and more complete inspection of the extinguisher that reveals the need for hydro testing.
LEV Testing – LEV testing and Air Sampling are services that we specialise in. domestic and commercial.
Fire Dampers – a process of checking the correct operation of fire dampers, which are ventilation devices that prevent the spread of fire and smoke.
